About the event

Delivery of video content changed paths a while ago. Now it is not  enough to deliver content on the TV set only; now content providers need to  develop their multi-screen strategy in order to stay in tune with the demands  of customers.

Operators have started offering multi-screen services supported by  both over-the-top-television (OTT) and a managed approach. It has become of  paramount importance to establish the advantages of OTT for multi-screen  delivery, as well as discovering which part of the ecosystem will benefit from  this approach.

These queries promoted a significant growth in the OTT industry  over the past year. What has been considered a disruptive proposition once is  now increasingly being embraced by operators, ISPs, and content providers alike  to enhance and change the TV viewing experience. TV evolution has reached its  peak with converged projects appearing daily on the international scene.

Smart TVs and smart devices have spurred the growth forward,  putting a strain on the already burdened broadband networks. Defining what the  future pay TV operator will look like is on the strategic forefront of major Telecom  Operators, Internet/Online TV  Providers, ISPs, Cable, Satellite, Content Owners and Aggregators.

Building on the success of the 2010 Summit, the OTTtv World  Summit 2011 will grow further and look into the future of TV delivery as  well as the positioning of OTTtv to help monetise the “premium TV models”.

This Summit is the only dedicated event addressing the strategic  opportunities in the OTT space in the world where you can hear from directors  of projects and first hand testimonials about the mounting success of OTT  platforms and strategies to penetrate pay TV markets.
